How To Use This Online Scientific Calculator

This guide explains how to use the scientific calculator’s trigonometric, logarithmic, fractional, and customization functions. It helps you get accurate results for any type of equation.

Trigonometry, Logs, and Exponents

To use sin, cos, tan, log, or ln, just press the respective button. The function will appear with an opening parenthesis, and you must manually close it.

Example: For log base 10 of 50, press "log" then "50" then ")".

The xʸ button is used for powers and exponents. It inserts the caret symbol (^). Example: For 5^3, press "5", "xʸ", then "3".

Inputting Fractions and Roots (a/b, √)

The a/b button is for fractions. Pressing it inserts a fraction structure, (numerator)/(denominator), where you can type the numerator (top) and the denominator (bottom).

Use the → (Right Arrow) button to move the cursor from the numerator to the denominator, and then out of the fraction entirely.

The √ (Square Root) button works the same way: press it, type the content inside the root, and use the → arrow to exit the root structure.

General Navigation and Clearing

To navigate within a complex equation (like a fraction or root), use the ← (Left Arrow) and → (Right Arrow) buttons.

The ⌫ (Backspace) button deletes one character or one entire structure (like a complete fraction) at a time.

The AC (All Clear) button clears the entire equation and the result below it.

The A- and A+ buttons adjust the font size of the equation display area.

Customization and Themes

Use the colored theme buttons (Dark, Light, Retro, etc.) at the top to change the calculator's appearance.

Select Custom to open a color picker menu, allowing you to set colors for the page background, calculator body, buttons, and text. Hit Save to remember your custom theme.

The Resize button cycles the calculator between Small, Medium, and Large widths for better fit on your screen.
